The SchoolHouse is the perfect logo and name for this piece of Oregon history and the delicious products they’ve milled.

Creating a Retail Brand

When Camas Country Mill came to us to develop a retail line of packaging and a new brand, we jumped at the opportunity to partner with them to tell their story. A common symbol in Oregon of rural schooling, the one-room school house is the quintessential nod to years of community and agriculture in the Willamette Valley. The logo design process included many illustrations and type combinations to capture the old world elegance of the building and its heritage. The logo became the dominant feature of the packaging, housing a variety of pasta, porridges, and artisan flours with resealable tops for freshness. Each package is color-coded for easy identification at the retail shelf.

Brand Guidelines

With the addition of the SchoolHouse 1888 brand to the Camas Country Mill product lineup, we crafted brand guidelines to encourage the consistent use of the logo and appropriate brand usage. Now, sales and trade marketing materials can easily be produced to continue to support the brand.

Website + Mobile

Camas Country Mill came to us with a functioning e-commerce website. We created a new design to be applied to the existing content management framework to better fall in line with the Camas Country Mill branding and its new product lines. We added new photography from a joint partnership with the Oregon Department of Agriculture, and updated text to better reflect the voice and style of Camas Country Mill.


Camas Country Mill was one of the farms featured in a Oregon Department of Agriculture feature for the Farm-to-Schools Program. We captured the farm, schoolhouse, bakery, warehouse, and the staff to use in marketing materials promoting the Farm-to-School program and farmers around the state of Oregon.
