Branding A Lifestyle

Found in local Eugene retail stores, online, and in the United Kingdom and Australia, Marley’s Monsters aims to help its consumers make simple sustainable swaps in their daily lives and take steps each day towards living a zero-waste lifestyle. RDG collaborated with this client to craft a robust brand strategy to zero in on their consumer through developing shopper profiles. RDG recommended a strategic shift from an emphasis on short-term gains to foundation building through focusing on long-term, sustainable goals for engagement and community building.

Social & Digital Media

With our target strategy dialed in, RDG set out to create fresh visual elements for Marley’s Monsters to elevate and visually captivate every customer touchpoint throughout digital and social media. With curated graphics, a distinctive photography style, typography, and color story, RDG created a custom experience catering to each shopper’s profile. RDG customized blogs, digital ads, and social media posts to more closely resonate with the brand’s shoppers and their interests, lifestyles, personalities, and purchasing behaviors.

Content Creation

To help diversify this client’s asset library, RDG planned, styled, and executed on-brand lifestyle photoshoots to foster better consumer engagement. RDG worked to capture the perfect assets for social media, blog posts, the website, and digital ads and ventured to kitchens, gardens, farms, orchards, restaurants, and other unique locations. Each spot was carefully chosen to align with the visual story we believed would strike a chord with consumers.

Marketing Personas

RDG believes in data-informed strategy and took a deep dive into the demographics and psychographics of the shoppers we wanted to target. RDG shaped specific narratives for three distinctive marketing personas, tailoring blog and social media content for each one. In doing so, RDG created unique brand experiences for the different types of shoppers in their audience.

Custom Animations

RDG continued to tell Marley’s Monsters’ visual story through custom animation. Using After Effects, the design team gave life to graphical elements through the use of movement, transition, and seamless pops of color. Ideal for digital ads or organic social media posts, the simple but stylistic animations invited consumers to look, shop, and experience the brand in a new way.
